Petaluma Valley Hospital is approximately 40 miles north of San Francisco just off the Highway 101 corridor in southern Sonoma County in the town of Petaluma. This 82-bed acute and critical care hospital offers a full compliment of inpatient and outpatient services. We are a receiving hospital for both ground and air ambulances.
Our services include:
24-hour Emergency Department
- 2 critical care beds
- 7 Medical/Surgical beds
- 1 OB/GYN procedure room
- Helipad available on-site
Medical and Surgical In-Patient services including:
- Orthopedic care
- Cancer treatment
- Renal dialysis
- Care for children
- Short Stay/Observation
- 8 telemetry beds for patient requiring cardiac monitoring
Intensive Care - ICCU
- 9 beds provide specialized care to critically ill medical/surgical and cardiac patients
Obstetrics Department
- Labor and Delivery – Epidural services available
- Newborn Nursery
- Post partum
- GYN beds
Day Surgery Center (DSU)
- Pre and post surgery care on an outpatient basis
- Provides special care for patents receiving pain control on an outpatient basis
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services (DTS)
- Services provided in the DSU and endoscopic procedures are the primary service
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Care for patients who require general or regional anesthesia administered in the operating room
